Shopping centres

EMCO Building has played a key role in developing, expanding or upgrading many metropolitan and regional shopping centres, including:

• Two-storey addition of the eastern mall at Karrinyup Shopping Centre, including upgrades to the electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and fire systems.

• Major facelift of Waterford Plaza shopping centre in Karawara, including extensions to the existing building, re-styled entries, and new loading/storage docks for Coles supermarket.

• New showrooms at the Southern River Shopping Centre.

• New bulk goods showrooms at the entrance to Cockburn Gateway Shopping Centre in Success involving complex tilt-up concrete panel installation and new large, curved entry statement towers and canopies.

• Major upgrade of Stockland Bull Creek Shopping Centre, notably to the food court and medical rooms. Works included a new raised roof skylight and three new mall entries of large precast support columns featuring a high-polish finish.

• New entryways at Glengarry Shopping Centre in Duncraig.

• Refurbishment and extension of Northgate Shopping Centre in Geraldton, including the use of Donnybrook stone cladding to new entryways, new floor tiling, and upgrades to lighting, mechanical and electrical services.
