We are thrilled to see the WA Government’s commitment to revitalising the Perth Cultural Centre, a pivotal cultural hub for our community.
EMCO Building is on site delivering the rejuvenation of the Perth Cultural Centre for the Department of Finance, one of the State’s most significant public realm projects.
The works reconnect the precinct to the city through extensive landscaping, new gathering areas and improved pedestrian links, and upgrade event spaces, public amenities and water features across the site. A central objective is to strengthen the presence of Aboriginal culture and the arts within the precinct.
We are working closely with the Department of Finance and the design team to stage the works so the Cultural Centre remains open and accessible to the public throughout construction.
‘This redevelopment is a key component in delivering a vibrant cultural precinct to attract people back into the city, to create new and exciting experiences.’ — Premier Roger Cook
Hon. David Templeman added, "The rejuvenation of the Perth Cultural Centre will ensure it remains an inviting and inclusive place where everyone can experience the unique culture of Western Australia."
