Kiara College Additions & Improvements

The transformation and rejuvenation of Kiara College celebrates contemporary design using traditional materials in sophisticated ways, providing a fresh new identity for the school.

Designed by With_ Architecture Studio, and delivered by EMCO Building via a staged approach, the new college upgrade project included: 

• New state-of-the-art performing arts centre

• Covered outdoor playing courts to enhance the college's specialist basketball program

• Major refurbishment of the medical centre

• Minor refurbishment of the food technologies, health education and administration blocks

• Improved acoustics to the existing music rooms

• Site services upgrades

• Parking for 23 vehicles

• Soft and hard landscaping

Kiara College celebrates red brick and white curves using complimentary materials that connects old and new. The singular building structure is a sophisticated contemporary design that acknowledges the college’s original architecture whilst redefining it with a simple yet striking design. 

The red brick building and brick detail with white fluted cantilevered roof defines the school’s entry and drop-off zone creating a visually striking façade. The hero façade features custom fabricated aluminum cladding complimented by the elongated red brick wall with integrated bench seat supporting the school entry zone facilities and offering a functional built form for the school environment.
