Setting a new standard in primary schools, the new school replaces the original 1960s buildings.
The single-storey buildings radiate from a central common area and feature flexible learning spaces with strong visual and physical connection to the outdoors. The works included:
Demolishing the existing junior school and administration block
Small extension and renovation to the existing gym
Four new learning blocks of six rooms per block around central play and communal learning areas
Extensive external works including two new playgrounds (one a nature play), limestone walls, rock spalling, boulder seating and native garden
Completed in a live school environment, works were completed over two stages to minimise disruption to school operations and maintain the safety of students, teachers and other stakeholders.
The project met agreed time and budget targets.
