St Vincent’s Aged Care Development

St Vincent’s Aged Care Development a new $28 million, 81 bed residential care facility by the river in Guildford. Construction of a new 2 storey Care Facility with basement, associated earthworks, landscaping and footpaths, new car parking, demolition of the existing 2 storey hostel and asbestos removal.

In addition to the new building, the project also incorporates the refurbishment of the existing Community Centre and Heritage listed buildings, including one being a rare intact freestanding store and cellar, dating back to 1837. The store was used to stockpile bottled preserves and wine, which were kept in the underground cellar. This building is thought to be the oldest building in Guildford.

The refurbished buildings will provide the future residents with a range of facilities including a physio, podiatrist, GP, pastoral care, hair dresser, lounge area and amenities.
