Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) new, state-of-the-art Fire Station
The project involves the construction of the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) new, state-of-the-art Fire Station which will operate as the new home for firefighters from the Success Fire and Rescue Service. The project comprises dormitories, covered carpark, gym, dining, vehicle washout, rescue pad, and specialised training tower.
The new station has been designed to meet the current demands and needs of the community while being future-proofed to accommodate future population growth and changes to the urban landscape of Cockburn and the surrounding areas.
During the tender stage of the project, EMCO Building proposed numerous alternative cost saving options for the structure, facades, and internal elements. Many of the options provide significant cost savings whilst maintaining the quality of finish intended for the project.
