In the past month much of the work at our Glyde St apartments site has centred around the excavation and removal of large quantities of limestone.
Once contiguous piling to all four boundaries were completed, excavation of the basement commenced with large excavation machinery being utilised to excavate the soil and with the assistance of a constant stream of semi-trailers the soil was removed from site. During this time concrete capping to the piling was formed and poured.
Once we had reached the basement level the tower crane footing was installed and the tower crane erected which marks a milestone in the projects progress.
The main basement structure has commenced and the first of the AFS concrete panels placed.
Challenges for the project such as access and traffic management still exist but thankfully we are maintaining good relations with the neighbourhood and the local authorities through open and transparent dialogue.
