Progress on EMCO Building’s Treehouse Apartment D&C project continues at a steady pace as the project team draws ever closer to the finish line.

With a contract value of over $21m, the six-storey building will boast 50 apartments, all being dual aspect and cross ventilated. A number of apartments also incorporate adaptable principles to assist with aging in place.

This week the EMCO team begin fixing reinforcement for the roof slab with an view to pour concrete by the end of the week. This will mark another milestone in the program being the final slab to be poured for the development. Concurrently, the 4th floor is being stripped and should be completed by the end of next week while the 3rd floor has seen the commencement of stud framing and first fix for services.

The following trades are also bearing on track with the 2nd floor bathrooms and wet areas having been sheeted and floors ready to be screeded and made ready for tiling next week.

Below on the 1st floor, wet areas have already been screeded along with the completion of the acoustic underlay. Block work is now underway along with texture finishes to balcony soffits, while tiling is scheduled to commence thereafter.

Similarly on the ground floor, we have started tiling, texture works, external claddings, and block work as ceilings are being closed up awaiting the arrival of windows.

Finally, the basement works have progressed well with all store rooms being completed and all doors hung and ready for painting.
