St Mary's Cathedral

The St. Mary’s Cathedral restoration and development has proved to be one of the most rewarding and complex projects that EMCO has undertaken. The blend of old and new structures brings the Cathedral into the new Millennia whilst paying tribute to it’s historical roots.

Perth Fire Station

The construction of the New Perth Fire Station in Wellington St, East Perth provided the Fire Service with a new high tech fire fighting facility in the heart of the City. Along with state-of-the-art vehicle appliance and equipment amenities the fire station also provides sleeping accommodation for up to twenty-four personnel, a gymnasium, kitchen facilities, training tower and undercover staff parking.

Campbell Barracks

The realignment of the Servetus Street arterial road system required the relocation of the Entry and Guardhouse for the SASR Campbell Barracks. Complete new road system and entry off West Coast Highway integrated with Main Roads intersection.

The new Guardhouse relocated all the incoming services to the Base including the Hi Level Security System and Base Communications. The entire Base Fire System is centred at the Guardhouse. Over 50% of the project was Services related.

Dawesville Deviation

This project involved the construction of approximately 1.7km’s of limestone and timber wall along the newly constructed Dawesville deviation south of Mandurah.

The wall, up to 3m in height, was to reduce noise and the visual impact of the new road on local residents.

Buddhist Temple

The project represents a traditional Buddhist Temple in design and is a landmark on Guildford Road in Maylands. Specialist trades were employed to replicate the client’s requirements for a place of worship that is equal to those in Asia.

The main Worship Hall is the largest in area in the Southern Hemisphere. (Wollongong Temple is the largest overall in the Southern Hemisphere).

Subiaco Waste Water Treatment Plant

This major new Treatment and Pumping House works was built in a concrete lined below ground facility with attached water storage basins.

This project included the Mechanical Pumping Plant as well as the requirements for constructing a major facility well below ground water level.

Rangeview Remand Centre

This major project included refurbishing some of the existing buildings as well as the construction of two new accommodation blocks complete with laundries, recreation areas,kitchens, a video conferencing centre and new car parking.

The project was complex and had to be carefully planned around the normal daily activities of the Remand Centre. Security was a very high priority as all work was carried out inside the main fences and in close proximity to detainees.
